Absolutely great dinner every time, if you like wild game you have try the Elk Ribeye, it was a perfect medium rare and the best steak I’ve ever had. You also can’t go wrong with the sides, all of them are a perfect complement to a meal.

We had an excellent meal at Walt's. I had the Affirmed filet over Gouda potato pancake, spinach, and onion straws. My husband had the special which was a bone in ribeye with Bleu cheese and blackened scallops. Our salads were also fresh and delicious, BLT wedge and the Big Blue. Their salted rye bread is the bomb. The servicers were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Old school type of restaurant, reminds me of some place. My parents would have visited. The menu offered a variety of choices, I found a family favorite hot slaw, identical to how I grew up. I had the steak and mushrooms very flavorful. Would order it again. The service was prompt and fast.

I took my mother here for her birthday and we really enjoyed our experience. The ribs were the talk of the table, our server got us the other type they have available to see if we liked them any better, they were just not our "style" but the steak, house salad, mashed potatoes and rye bread were delicious! The beer/wine list was impressive. The wait staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed and classy in my opinion, come as you are but shower first We had a great time at dinner and appreciate the staff for being there to help us navigate our first visit!

Second year in a row we have had a holiday party here and the reason is because the food is amazing as well as the service and atmosphere. They even have the smallest touches down to how the restroom is outfitted, decor, scented candles and even mouthwash if desired. Who does that? Walt's does. Sharing our food orders, the items not pictured are bc we drank or ate them too quick to capture on film. Rye bread: don't let the word Rye throw you off, the basket of starter bread is beyond amazing! They also use the toasted bread for bread crumbs on the salads. Buttery and Tasty. Mocktail: Side Saddle/ cucumber, basil, ginger beer concoction, light and refreshing. A pleasant way to begin a meal. 5 cheese mac-n-cheese and creamed corn: baked in mini cast irons, highly recommend. Even good next day reheated. Bread crumbs top off the mac-n-cheese making for a crunchy topping. Twice baked potato and Onion Tumbleweed: tasty...Idk if it's bc they were busy or we had a large party but all of our side orders came with our entrees, which made for a whole lot of food at once. Last year they came bf the meal and made things more manageable. Maybe, if ordering appetizers other than salads, request to have them bf the meal and not with it. Secretariet: Steak filets, butterflied and well done Wagyu Beef Burger: Med-rare but came well done. I know it's a hamburger, but it was nicely seasoned and was more of an upscale steak burger, not your everyday run of the mill, drive through take out. Good to try least once, topped with sauteed onions and dressings on side as requested. The special sauce was akin to a Chipotle mayo. Spicy and good. Billy Sue's Fall off the bone Ribs: as tender as described. Pan Seared Salmon: can't go wrong with this Blackened Filet w/ jalapeno raviolis and single crawfish topper: Amazing plate, but there were no takers for the crawfish. As upscale as it might have been, no one was a fan. Loaded Baked Potato: All the fixens. Delish. Legendary Fried chicken: Side of chicken cut down and seasoned to perfection bf frying. I'm told it was good the next day too. There may have been a few I'm missing but while this is an extraordinary place to dine, it's something to be enjoyed every so often unless you are in a higher tax bracket than me, in which case, go often. It's worth it. Yes, there is valet, a single vegetarian option on menu, but other items can be modified. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Enjoy your meal.

We just went yesterday for the first time. We were celebrating our 45th Anniversary so we wanted something extra special and it was. Our sever Nick was great and totally on top of everything. The food, well where do I begin? We started with their salted rye bread. Oh my gosh I've never had bread like that before. It was out of this world, but I ate too much. Our Onion soup was good. Hubby got the Wedge salad which was huge and really good too. My tossed salad was fine. I got the half slab of the fall of the bone ribs. They were good, not great, but I was definitely happy with them. My husband got the 18oz. Bone in Ribeye that was very good. Our sides were the cowboy baked potato and these to die for roasted brussel sprouts. Get them! We splurged and ordered and extra side of the Lobster Mac and cheese. It was worth the 25 price. We took home a piece of carrot cake since they said it was so good, which it was. My only complaint and I hate to even say this was I thought we might get a little something for our 45th Anniversary since my husband told them when making the reservation, but we didn't. It by no means took away from our phenomenal dinner. If you are looking for a special place to go for dinner I totally recommend Walt's Hitching Post.
